about me
Copywriter, virtual assistant, and developmental book editor who believes your words should sound like you – not like everyone else in your industry.
I’m a copywriter helping creatives connect with their people. A virtual assistant bringing calm and clarity to overwhelmed business owners. A book editor supporting authors as they shape stories into brilliant books. What a mouthful!
Outside of work, I’m a book-loving Yorkshire gal, cat mum, and all round creative person. My days off tend to involve a good book, catching up with friends, a wander around a National Trust site or getting stuck back into one of a handful of on-going crochet, photography, or junk journalling projects.
Hi, I’m Lauren
Copywriter, virtual assistant, and fiction editor based in the UK – serving clients worldwide – to uplift your business, lighten your load, and tell your story.
my story
I’ve been freelancing for just over five years, after stepping away from an in-person role during the pandemic and back towards something that had always been there in the background: writing.
I’ve loved books for as long as I can remember – from weekly library trips as a child to starting an online book club last year. Words have sat alongside everything I’ve done. I vividly remember typing short stories on my grandparents’ desktop computer and printing them out ready to read to my parents when I got home.
The kind of writing I do has evolved, but the pull towards working with words never left. Once I realised I could do that for other people, everything clicked.
Since then, I’ve freelanced on platforms like Fiverr, worked with agencies in the USA, and collaborated with other creatives to help them deliver thoughtful, meaningful work to their clients.
I love helping people’s ideas become what they’ve dreamt they could be
I’ve learned that a lot of freelance work keeps people at arm’s length: you send the brief, the work gets delivered, and that’s the end of it. For some people, that’s perfect. For me, it feels a little shallow.
When we work together, I want to understand what you’re building and why it matters. I care about thoughtful questions, brainstorming together, and shaping ideas that feel clear, grounded, and true to you.
My favourite part of this job is the real, human connection I get to have with collaborators and clients. Whether I’m writing copy, supporting the moving parts of your business, or editing a manuscript, the thread is always the same:
